Returns

We want you to be delighted with your purchase. Your rights depend on how you bought the item and whether it was made to order – the two situations below are separate, so please read the one that applies to you.

1. Changing Your Mind (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

If you bought online, by phone or otherwise at a distance – and did not examine the goods in one of our showrooms – you have a legal right to change your mind. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel within 14 days, beginning the day after your goods are delivered, by notifying us in writing.

  • You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
  • You are responsible for returning the goods, or we can arrange collection for a charge.
  • Refunds are issued by your original payment method, usually within 14 days.

Important: the made-to-order / bespoke exemption

This 14-day cancellation right does not apply to goods that are made, cut or ordered to your specification – for example bespoke upholstery, made-to-measure curtains and blinds, cut carpet, cut fabric and custom-ordered furniture. Genuinely made-to-spec items are exempt from the 14-day change-of-mind right under the Regulations. Deposits on custom-order goods are non-refundable.

2. Faulty Goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

Separately, and regardless of whether an item was made to order, you always have rights if goods are faulty. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not:

  • You have a short-term right to reject and receive a full refund within 30 days of delivery.
  • After 30 days, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and to a price reduction or partial refund if that is unsuccessful.

The made-to-order exemption above applies only to the change-of-mind right – your rights in respect of faulty goods are unaffected. If you believe your goods are faulty, please contact the store where you placed your order; they will request photographic evidence and work to resolve the issue.
